Beatriz formed earlier today well south of Acapulco, Mexico. There is a possibility that Beatriz will manage to make landfall along the coasts of Jalisco, Colima or Michoacán. If it does make landfall, it will be very brief as the storm is expected to make its way back off the coast again. Even at its peak, Beatriz will likely barely reach hurricane strength, 120 km/h (75 mph) winds. The system is currently large and very unorganized. A wide spread area of heavy rainfall is likely in the states mentioned above as well as nearby states.
