The last week was wonderfully quiet. The potential flooding did not occur on a large scale, and some needed moisture pushed into Argentina and Colombia.
Moist conditions pushed into areas that really needed it during the last week. Argentina and nearby parts of Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay picked up beneficial moisture. A similar story in Colombia and Peru has also brightened the picture there. The major metro areas in Brazil remained dry, but many inland areas picked up some moderate rainfall. This past week was very quiet in South America, with no extreme precipitation, nor an extreme cut-off of the rains.
Heavy rain is possible next week in Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and inland parts of Brazil. More moderate rainfall is expected elsewhere on the continent.
